Geely Automobile Holdings Limited is an automobile manufacture based in China, focusing on development, manufacturing and sales of passenger vehicles. Its products include; automobiles, taxis, motorcycles, engines and transmission.
Geely Automobile was founded in 1986 by Li Shu Fu who is currently the Chairman of Geely Automobile Holdings Limited as well as wholly owning Zhejiang Geely Holding Group Company Limited (a private company) that is the controlling shareholder of Geely Automobile. Geely Automobile Holdings Limited lists its shares on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (SEHK).
In recent years Geely has been able to break into the overseas market and now exports to 35 overseas countries including; The Middle East, Eastern Europe and Central and South America. In 2014 the company contributed 11.2% of the total export of China's passenger vehicles making them according to China Association of Automobile Manufactures, one of the leading vehicle exporters in china.
